About

Helping humans who are dealing with life

I'm a clinical therapist practicing in Colorado. I've been working in the field for over 12 years.

I received my master's degree from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado in 2014. I completed my practicum at the Gender Identity Center of Colorado working with a transgender population, and I'm an ally to the LGBTQ+ community.

I completed my internship working with the Boulder County jail. I then worked for five years adjacent to the criminal justice system, leading treatment groups and individual therapy for individuals with court-mandated therapy requirements.

Eventually, I came to realize that the current criminal justice system is an inherently abusive system, and I no longer felt comfortable drawing a paycheck off of it, which is when I left to start my private practice, Inherent Goodness Counseling & Coaching, in 2019.

I love being a therapist and consider it a great honor to be able to work with my clients.

What I work with

Specialties

Or, as I like to say — helping humans who are dealing with life.
How I work

Approach

I use a client and person centered approach, drawing on modalities including, but not limited to, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, family systems theory, Buddhist psychology, mindfulness, and psychoeducation on neuroscience.

What that means in practice is that I follow you rather than a protocol. We'll figure out together what is actually useful for you.
